AMBULANCE DRIVERS
Pay Increases In Award (N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 22 An increase of 12s 6d in the minimum weekly wage has been granted in' a new award for ambulance drivers issued by the Arbitration Court. The award covers ail irivers engaged in ambulance work with the exception of the Free Ambulance Transport Service. Wellington, the St J ohn Ambulance Association of New Zealand (Auckland centre), and the Venerable Order of St John Christchurch The new minimum weekly wage is £l3 15s The award, which incorporates the terms of settlement arrived at in conciliation, includes an unqualified preference clause under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act.
