rpHE University senior women's hockey side is fortunate to have in its ranks a centre-half who must be among the best players in the world in her position.
In her development as a hockey player. M.ss S Comer has reached full maturity. and her control of the ball places her far ahead of any contemporary player in New Zealand. Her sense oi anticipation is extraordinary and her speed into position remarkable. Her ability to emerge with the ball from a press of players emphasises the mastery of close stick work which -she possesses and she is one of those rare exponents of any team game, a player with an inherited gift of passing skill.
