Wilder Still At Large
(N.Z Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. May 22. Roads out of Taranaki were patrolled by police tonight a-s the search for the escaped prisoner. George Wilder, spread to south Taranaki towns after reports of two cars missing from near Midhirst.
The search leader Sergeant C. P. Baeyertz said at Stratford that patrols were being carried out in an effort to find a motor vehicle stolen from Kent terrace, Midhirst, on Monday night.
Wilder is believed to have slipped past a road block in Mountain road. Inglewood, by abandoning a car he had taken from Huirangi a few miles above the block.
