War And Peace
Instead of tanks a Communion Table stands in a tank hangar in Lemgo, North Germany. The hangar has been converted into a church for the men of the Ist Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and their families. The church, named St. Martins, is broader than it is long, causing the Communion Table to be placed beside the entrance instead of opposite it. A wall of circular pieces of stained glass stands where the hangar doors once were.
