Maori To Play For Victoria
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MELBOURNE. May 21. A former New Zealand Maori representative, R. King, is in the Victorian Rugby team, announced yesterday, to play the touring Japanese club side, Yawata, at Olympic Park. Melbourne, on Wednesday. King, a wing, toured Australia with the New Zealand Maoris in 1958 He represented Auckland last season in its matches in defence of the Ranfurly Shield. He is now working at Geelong. Other New Zealanders in the Victorian team to play Yawata are a former Counties representative and Waikato junior, J. Anderson, and a Wellington journalist. R. Ross.
