N.Z. Selectors Appointed
Messrs E. G. McLeod, of Auckland, and B. A. Turner, of Palmerston North, were appointed national hockey selectors tor 1962 by the management committee of the New Zealand Hockey Association last night. Messrs P. J. Spiers, of Wellington, I. R. Smith, of Christchurch. and R. H. Macinlay, of Dunedin, were appointed advisory selectors. No change in personnel has been made through the appointments. but Mr Turner, who was one of four advisory selectors last season, has now become a full selector. Mr McLeod was sole selector last year. The management committee also appointed Mr Turner official coach for New Zealand, a new post. After a notable international playing career spanning 12 years. Mr Turner accompanied the New Zealand team on its 1961-62 Far East tour as coach. )
