TAP DANCING FESTIVAL

Demonstration Concert A demonstration concert of class winners on Saturday evening concluded the second annua) three-day competition festival of Ute Christchurch Tap Dancing Association. Mr Chantrey-Harris. of Motueka, who judged, said there had been a high standard of tap dancing throughout the competitions It was gratifying to know that so many of the teachers were training their pupils so professionally.

It was very rewarding to note that so many boys were taking part in these festivals, said Mr Chantrey-Harris. Their dancing was a delight to watch, and it would be very difficult to find a higher standard anywhere else in New Zealand. The cups and trophies were presented to the winners by the Mayor of Rlccarton (Mr E J. Bradshaw). The winner of the tap dancing championship, which was open to girls 12 and over, was Miss Julianne Wallace. Results were:—
