<A/.Z. Press Assn.—Copyrlgnt) WELLINGTON. May 20. The Thai Government had not yet replied to New Zealand's offer of a token military force to join the United Sates forces in Thailand, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said tonight The offer to send a force was made several days ago in response to United States suggestions that all other S.E.A.T.O should “fly the flag" alongside United States forces on the Thailand-Laos border NewZealand cannot, however, send a force until the Thai Government formally requests it.
