Table Tennis Two Teams Unbeaten After Fourth Round
Wallabies Red and Selwyn the two unbeaten teams, sUH lea the Canterbury Table Tennis Association's A grade competition after the fourth round last evening. In third place is Wallabies Green, with three SSS beat University by the same score. For Star the best player was H. P. Holt, whose sound all-round game brought him a Win over V. N. BrtgbtweU. Brightwell was not at his best, and the left-handed Holt took full advantage ot loose shots. Wallabies Red survived several close matches to bes t University. A notable win In this meeting was that of the University doubles pair D. D. M Stewart and D. J. Kalin, who beat N. B. Radiord and M. A. Cox. Radford and Cox had won the doubles at the recent Caster open tournament from a very Urwrood* 1 W*on its first points with a 7-5 win over Avonslde With the last doubles to be played. Unwood iweded a win to take the contest, and N. COrr and J. L. Torode played sound table tennis to vhn’J victory. In the other match Wallabies Green beat Eagles. 8-4, with the winning team showing the better all-round form.
