NOVEL MANURE CLEANING MACHINE.—Much interest was taken in this machine when members of the poultryfarmers’ refresher course visited the property of Bower Egg Farm, Ltd., at North Beach this week. Two plungers on either side of the machine collect the manure under the wire cages. The manure is then transported up this ramp with the plungers finally being released and dropping their load at its base. The manure is mixed with sawdust to make a compost.
