In the men's singles, fourth round. W. Jacques beat c. Kileff. of Rhodesia. 6-2, 6-1 and J. Hillebrand beat F McMillan of South Africa. 6-2, 6-2. But the New Zealander J McDonald, was beaten bv Britain's R. K. Wilson. 6-2. 6-2 In the women's singles quarter-finals Miss P. Belton (New Zealand) was soundhbeaten. 6-1. 6-1. by Britain's Whiteman Cup player and ths tournament's No 1 seed. Miss D. Catf. Miss M. Smith, of Australia was beaten. 6-0 6-2 bv the English international. Mrs F Roberts.
