Other things being equal, preference win be given to candidates who have specialised in toe fields of Agricultural Geography or Geomorphology. Senior Staff ot the Department in 1962 will comprise Professor O. H. K. Spate (Political, Social, Historical Geography);. Mr J. N. Jennings (Geomoro-' logy, especially coastal and limestone geomorphology); Dr. H. C. Brookfield (Social Geoffli; R. G. Robbins (Biogeography, especially Malaysia and Melanesia); and Dr. G. J. R. Linge (urban and Industrial geography). The Department has strong interests both in Australia and the Pacific Islands, including New Guinea. The research activities of the Department are concerned with structural and biochemical aspects of arterial disease, lymphatic physiology and lipid metabolism and with the cellular basis of immunological reactions. Workers with Interest* and research experience in any of these subjects are invited to apply. The salary range for Fellows Is determined within the limits of £A2120-3000 per annum. Appointment to age 65, with the option of retirement after age 60, is normally confirmed before expiry of toe initial appointment which is for five year*.
