NEW FIELDS FOR A.O.C.
Plans For S.W. Queensland
(NJZ.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) MELBOURNE, May 1
The Union-Kern-A.O.G. group has started an exploration programme to find additional oil fields in South-west Queensland, the chairman bf Australian Oil and Gas Corporation, Ltd. (Sir Kenneth Coles), said yesterday. He said discovery of another oil field near Moonie would greatly speed up prospects of producing commercial oil in Australia. It would also increase the value of the Moonie field.
At the same time, the programme was continuing to prove whether Moonie alone was a commercial field.
