Lamb Prices Steady (NX. Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 11. Quotations for New Zealand lamb on London's Smithfield market this week continued steady after the sharp rise earlier in the week, according to the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board market information service. There was a steady inquiry for light patchings of New Zealand mutton Hoggets were at 15d to 15 lid per lb, wethers lid to Isd, and ewes lOd to 13d. New Zealand beef was not quoted. Prices for New Zealand meat, ex hooks Smithfield, in the week ended May 11. with the variation since the previous week, are quoted as follows: Canterbury Lamb d Varin, per lb d per lb First Quality— Under 281 b .. 23J-24 n.c. 29-361 b .. 23 -231 n.e. 37-421 b .. 22$ n.c. 37-421 b .. 22} —1 43-50.. 20$ +1 Seconds— Under 281 b .. 221-23 +> 29-361 b ■■ 22j-33 +J INVERCARGILL.
