RUGBY REAL ESTATE
Union Buys Building (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 11. The Auckland Rugby Union has purchased for an undisclosed price a threestorey building in the central part of Auckland. When the union occupies the building early next year it will be the first union in New Zealand to possess its own city headquarters. At present the building is rented and. according to Mr R. L. Burk, the chairman of the Auckland union’s management committee, portions will continue to be rented when the union takes possession. “For some time now the Auckland Rugby Union has had thoughts of the purchase of a building, not only to establish its own headquarters, but also as a form of financial security for the Rugby game in Auckland," said Mr Burk. “We feel that a freehold property in the heart of Auckland is the best financial security the game can have.”
