Confident Coach
One man who views the AU Blacks' tour of Australia this season as anything but easy for the New Zealanders is 63-year-old B. Palmer. tre New South Wales coach who is almost certain to be in charge of the Australian team. Palmer, always an optimist, plans a high-pressure training programme to have tire Australians super-fit and equipped for an 80-minute battle against the All Blacks in every match. Wallaby coach says he has seen All Black sides beaten before. “It can happen again—this year, for example," he contends. Inducement for the Australians to play, on top of their firm is a return visit to New Zealand, and Palmer hopes that the little extra this will bring out of his players mipit do the trick. Players well known in New Zealand who will figure prominently in matches a’ainst the All Blacks are R Phelps, A. Miller, P. Johnson. J. White. J. Ttiornett, J Lenehan and B. EUwood.
