IT HAPPENED AGAIN
In spite of extensive publicity about the detrimental effect of brands on the marketing of wool, there were still many over-branded lots in the April Christchurch wool sale offering. Buyers refused to bid for one line of five bales of halfbred.
“It has too many brands in it.” said a spokesman for the buyers, when the auctioneer called the lot number, and the sale proceeded with the next lot.
