LINCOLN FARM CONFERENCE

Accommodation Still Available

There is still accommodation available for those who wish to attend the Lincoln College Farmers’ Conference on May 16. 17. 18. Those who want to stay over the nights of May 15. 16. 17 should write directly to the Honorary Secretary, Farmers' Conference, Lincoln College, enclosing a cheque for £6. This covers accommodation (£3 10s) and conference fee (£2 10s).

The first day of the conference includes an opening address by Mr W. C. Stafford on a symposium of meat marketing. In the afternoon there is a session dealing with new technical developments in agriculture. The second day is divided into a programme for sheep farmers, with a symposium on sheep fertility in the morning and a farm tour in the afternoon, and a programme for dairy farmers. This includes papers on milking management, overseas developments in dairying and artificial breeding, and a reqprt on disease investigation in town milk herds.

The third day starts with a symposium on sources of credit, followed by two papers on farm development Finally in the afternoon there is a session dealing with noneconomic values—design for farm houses and labour saving gardens. Wives of members will be welcome at this session.
