Strong Market For Easter Close
New Zealand shares firmed strongly on Thursday before the stock exchanges closed for the Easter recess. Australian shares were mainly steady. Hellaby s Meat rose 2s after the bonus issue announcement. Good gams were also made by Southland Frozen Meat, Ballins Hotels, Charles Begg and Harnish and Jordan. Christchurch Press, in first business this year, were Is down at 555. ‘
