HONOUR FOR N.Z. BOOK
Selected For U.S. World Fair A small book of insect photography will be the sole representative of New Zealand in the United States World's Fair in Seattle. Washington, which will be held soon. It will be the first world exhibition held in the United States since about 1940. and will run for six months.
The book. “Camera Studies of the Small World.” was oroduqed by two Dutchmen. Messrs A T. Bandsma and R T. Brandt, and published last vear by Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd. It features greatly magnified photographs of New Zealand insects of outstanding clarity and detail.
The American Library Association is sponsoring an exhibit in the fair called the “Library of the Future" and a section of this will be devoted to children’s books. About 1500 to 2000 outstanding children’s books from the United States and other countries will be displayed and the section will include a reading room, theatre for film showing and story telling and equipment. The New Zealand book was specially selected for this section.
