Five Star, which has had a win and two seconds from his last four starts, should be too solid for most of his rivals over two miles in the Opunake Handicap, the main -ace for trotters on the first day of the Hawera Trotting Club’s annual meeting tomorrow.

Tribune, Scotleigh and Andromeda could be the hardest for him to beat. The double will be run on the Hawera Cup and the Borough Handicap. Fair weather is forecast and the track is expected to be firm and fast.
