Long Service With N.A.C.

Captain G. Harvey, a senior captain with the National Airways Corporation, is shown in the photograph being presented with a gold lapel badge to mark 15 years' service with the corporation, since its inception in 1947. The presentation is being made by Mr J. E. Davies, the Christchurch branch manager. Captain Harvey was one of a number of officers and engineering technicians of the corporation who received the badge to mark 15 years’ service. The officers were: Captain 3. H. McCrorie (draftsman aircraft), E. R. McDonald (chief inspector), I. N. McEachen (draftsman equipment), J. Mohekey (radio inspector), W. E. Parr (radio supervisor), G. Ross (aircraft tradesman). A. E Ridler (airframe supervisor), A. J. Wells (electrician aircraft), and B. Whitehouse (purchasing officer). It is intended to present a gold lapel badge with a ruby inset to those achieving 25 years’ service with the corporation.
