Firm Tone Continues In N.Z. Share Trading
New Zealand shares continued to hold a firm tone in trading on the New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, while overseas issues were again weaker. Fourteen New Zealand shares advanced against six that declined, while overseas issues showed six rises to eight falls. Good gains were made by “Otago Daily Times” B, McSkimming, ex dividend, and Brents, while C. and A. Odlin advanced another Is to 555. United Empire Box lost 3d of the 4d gained on Tuesday. Bank of N.S.W. and A.N.Z. Bank continued to improve, while A.C.L, C.S.R. Australia, Email and Factors were firmer.
