PLAYER ALMOST IMPALED
Corner Post Snaps Because an under-weight player almost impaled himself last Saturday on a corner (lag which snapped under his weight, the management committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union decided last evening to inspect the flags under its iurisdiction. Mr D. Keagh said that the r layer hit the flag while scoring and the post, which was new, snapped, leaving a section as sharp as an arrow. The grounds committee was instructed to inspect the post in question and to inspect posts on other grounds.
