A.M.P. £21m SURPLUS
Inerease Of More Than £2.5m
The Australian Mutual Provident Society shows a surplus of almost _ £A2lm after valuation of its assets and liabilities for the year ended December 31. This is an increase of more than £2.5m on the 1960 surplus, said Mr H M Collie, manager for New Zealand, yesterday. The society’s bonus rate for the sixth year in succe° e ion. had been increased. he said The surplus would orovide for policyholders additional free insurance amounting to almost £4O million. Sums assured under A.M.P oolicies now total over £ 2388 m when bonu■addition* for' 1961 are included. Mr Collie said
