COMMERCIAL Good Rises Yesterday By N.Z. Shares
Alex Harvey, in a belated reaction to Thursday’s bonus issue announcement, rose Is 6d to 35s in Auckland trading yesterday. C. and A. Odlin, after last week’s Is rise, rose a further Is 6d to 535. Charles Begg also made a good gain. New Zealand shares were again very firm and the few falls were slight. Australian shares recovered, only one fall being recorded. J. Lysaght, in first New Zealand ex dividend business, rose strongly to 58s 3d.
