April 14. “Too many frozen-tfaced d uoh esses are masquerading in New Zealand hotels as receptionist®—dhey leave a bad impression with the tourist,” Mr I. A. MiteheM, a local travel agent, told Dunedin Jaycees. The reception desk was often the first contact a tourist had with this country and a bad impression gained there could well influence his future opinion of New Zealand, Mr Mitchell added. He added, however, that there were “notable exceptions” to hds charge.
