First Home Win For 25 Years (N.ZJ’.A.-Reuter—Copyright) GLASGOW, April 14. A crowd of 135,000 saw Scotland defeat England. 2-0, today to win the British international soccer championship for the first time since 1961. It was Scotland's first home win over England for 25 years. Last year England defeated Scotland. 9-3 at Wembley, but today it waa Scotland's turn, and the huge crowd gave the team a tremendous reception after the match. Some of the Scottish team responded with a lap of honour —including one player who dashed from the dressing rooms without his shorts. Stars of the Scotland side were the inside-forwards. J. White, of Tottenham Hotspur, and D. Law, who plays for the Italian club. Torino. Scotland’s goals were scored by Wilson after 14 minutes, and Caldow, from a penalty, two minutes from time.
