April 14 India’s captain, Nari Contractor. who wzs seriously injured when struck on the head by a ball in the West Indies, arrived in London today. Contractor said that reports that he would be playing cricket again in a year’s time were perh&ps a little optimistic. He added: “I will have another operation in India soon for the fitting of a metal plate on the scar above my right ear
“Then, possibly. It will be 18 months before I am able to play. This does not take into consideration the psychological effects of the injury. I do not know how I will react mentally to cricket again."
