TEST FLIGHT FOR NEW AIRCRAFT ENGINE.—The supersonic Bristol Siddeley Olympus engine makes its first Sight beneath the fuselage of a Vulcan “flying test bed.” The Olympus engine is to power the TSR-II, a Vickers and English Electric military tactical support aircraft, which, the British Government has announced, will fly next year. Derivations of the engine may later be used in civil supersonic transport planes.
