Mr J. V. Scott, of the External Affairs Department, who has been a counsellor at New Zealand House for the last four years and in close liaison with the Commonwealth Relations Office and Foreign Office, is returning to Wellington in the Canberra.—(London, April 15.) Mr V. Wright, of fee Tourist and Publicity Department, has been appointed public relations officer for the Benmore project. He replaces Mr KGibson, who has returned to the Tourist and Publicity Department in Wellington. Mr G. D. Turnbull, of Invercargill. has been appointed fuel engineer for the Coal Advisory Association in Dunedin. He will give advice on the efficient operating of coal-fired boilers in Otaeo and Southland.
Messrs J. R Matthews, immediate past president, and J. G. Donald, a councillor both of Featherston, have been reappointed as representatives of the New Zealand Romney Marsh Sheer Breeders’ Association on the special Romney survey committee. The other members of the committeee are the chairman. Mr B S. Trolove of Kaikoura. who is a member of the Wool Board, and Mr C F. Jones, of Ohaeawai a member of the Meat Board’ Mr R Usmar. of Wellington, was elected district GovInten »tional (New Zealand) at the annual convention in Wellington in succession to Mr H M Kirk ,bf Auckland.— (P.A.)
