Rugby Football Lancaster Park Saturday, April 14 3 p.m. UNIVERSITY v MARIST The meeting of these old rivals will give an impressive start to the 1962 Rugby season. Last year Marist almost caused the upset of the club season when it lost to University by only 11-10. On that occasion its vigorous forwards more than contained the powerful University pack. This year University has not the fearsome forward strength of last season but possesses brilliant attacking backs. The outcome of the match will rest on the possibility of the fiery Marist forwards nullifying the ability of University's inside bocks of Orme, Tapsell and Moreton. 1.30 p.m. Christchurch v Old Boys The interest in this match will rival that in the main game. Both are strong teams which play attractive Rugby. The leadership of the All Black, D. J. Graham, for Old Boys, could be the decisive factor in this match. Lancaster Park South 3 p.m. Merivale v Shirley 1.30 p.m. Linwood v Sydenham Admission: Enclosure, Adults 2s 6d, Children Is. Embankment, Adults Is, Children 6d.
