Shot Holed (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter-Copyright) GREENSBORO (North Carolina) April 12. D. Flnsterwald. who finished third in the Matters' tournament earlier this week, scored a six under par 65 today to take a two-stroke lead in the first round of the Greater Greensboro Open golf tournament.
A. Palmer, who beat Finsterwald and G Player in a triple play-off for the Masters, had nutting troubles and returned a 71.
Flnsterwald had an eagle at the par four first hole, sinking a 170-yard four-iron shot, and added four birdies and 13 para to his sensational start
Tile former U.S open champion. J. Boros, was in second place, with 87 New Zealand's R J. Charles had halves of 36 and 34 for a une-under-par 70 On the same total were the Australians. K. Nagle and W Dunk. B. Crampton was further down the list with 72.
