County Loan Half Filled
The £12,500 works loan opened by the Heathcote County Council a week ago was already more than half filled, it was reported to the council on Thursday evening. The County Clerk (Mr W H Scrimgeour) said that £B4OO had been subscribed The chairman (Mr R A Young) said that this had been achieved without any publicity and it was to be expected that the loan, with attractive interest rates, would be filled very soon The council formally decided that it would Boat a £ 5250 waterworks loan, having received the sanction of the Local Bodies’ Loans Board to do so
