Big Fire In Peru
(N.ZP. A.--Reuter—Copyright) LIMA, April 12.
The Army today assumed temporary control of Cuzco, southern Peru, after a fire last night which destroyed property worth an estimated £500,000.
The fire, apparently started by a short circuit, was reported to be the worst disaster in southern Peru since the 1950 earthquake. Most buildings destroyed were in the city's business section.
