Steady Trend On Share Market Yesterday
Prices of both Australian and New Zealand shares were steady yesterday. X ariations, which were mainly minor, were evenly divided. N.Z. Farmers’ Co-operative A preference and B preference made the day’s best gains. The A preference, in first business since March 15, rose Is 9d. and the B preference rose Is since Monday. “Otago Daily Times” fetched 37s 6d in Christchurch, confirming higher quotations since previous business on March 28. Westland Breweries, in first business since March 1, dropped Is 3d to 28s. Dalgety had first business for two months, 3s down at 365.
