Tauranga had the best of a keen tussle, and should have won. After a scoreless first half. Tauranga's half-back. Max Heimann, forced his wav over the Gordon goal-line. Gordon equalised eight minutes before full-time when the full-back, M. Graham, landed a penalty goal. The tourists had only one casualty—the full-back C.
