Lawn Tennis GERRARD’S MOVE

Auckland, Not Wellington

The national lawn tennis champion, L. A, Gerrard, of Canterbury, confirmed yesterday that he will leave Christchurch early in June, but contrary to an earlier report he will go to Auckland and not Wellington. Gerrard is employed by Ivan Seay Proprietary. Ltd . New Zealand agents for Spalding. Control of that firm was recently taken by Gollin and Company. Ltd. As a salesman for the firm, Gerrard will cover the Auckland district.

He left on his fifth overseas tour just after he arrived from Auckland and returned to Christchurch at the beginning of this season He played for the United club in the senior men's competition, and helped to give Canterbury its most successful season for many years by winning Wellington.
