BOYCOTT BY F.O.L
Brethren With Orchards (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 21. The names of the nine fruitgrower members of the Exclusive Brethren boycotted by the Federation of Labour are listed, with their addresses, in the circular sent out to all affiliated unions by the federation this week. This did not mean that those producers would have to let their fruit rot, said the secretary of the federation (Mr K. McL. Baxter) today. “Fruit will keep indefinitely in cool stores, if they can somehow get their fruit into cool stores," he said. Appealing to all its affiliated trade unionists to take action against the men and farms named, the federation calls on its district trade councils “to organise forces and give effect to the decision of the national council.” Four of the boycotted fruitgrowers are in the Hastings area, three are in Nelson, and two in the Blenheim area.
