Lottery Winner “Feels Like A Film Star”

(New Zealand Press Association)

WELLINGTON, Mar. 21. One small prize ot £5 in the second Golden Kiwi lottery led to the major prize of £I2(XX) in the fifteenth draw for Mrs B. E. Keegan, of Mein street, Wellington, today. Her fifteenth ticket paid for from her initial prize won her the fifteenth lottery. The second prize in today’s draw went to a Rangiora ticket-holder. With- still five tickets in credit from her first minorsuccess, Mrs Keegan felt today she could continue to support the lottery indefinitely. That is the only definite plan she has at present. This lottery win is quite a family affair as Mrs Keegan bought her tickets from a nephew, Mr D. Piaggi, who has a tobacconist’s shop in Courtenay place. Mr Piaggi said today his aunt’s prize was the best of many won from tickets sold from his shop. However, it is only one of many and today he had on display a list of successes.

Congratulatory telephone calls are keeping Mrs Keegan busy. As she said to one caller: “I feel like a ruddy film star—Brigitte Bardot or something like that. The

■phone's been running white hot.” The main results are: f* 12 83574. “Vee'see,” Wellington. £2OOO 144379, “Barronio's Girls,” Rangiora. £lOOO 201627, “Ted," Hamilton, £750 219310, Chatfield, Tauranga. £6OO 213909, “Can't Win” Syn„ Rotorua. £5OO 131782, “Sweet and Fat,” Spreydon. £4OO 97090, “A.8.C.,” Christchurch. £3OO 163686, “Holidays,” Balmoral. £250 123311, ‘‘Mine,” Christ - church. £2OO 87175, J.
