School Committees’ Officers
The annual conference of the Dominion Federation of School Committees’ Associations. which opened in Christchurch on Friday, ended yesterday. About 70 delegates, representing about 1200 school committees, attended. Nearly . 80 remits came before the conference. Officers elected were:— President, Mr J. M. Cowie (Northland); senior viceoresident. Mr T. Hill (Otago): junior vice-president, Mr J. A. T. McEldowney (North Taranaki); secretarytreasurer, Mrs O. W. Plank (Northland): executive. Mrs A. C. L. Finlayson (Northland). Messrs R. O. Metcalfe (Northland), W. McKeory (Northland), J. Harris (Northland), J. T. Waetford (Northland - ), T. MacDonald (Northland), W. Beazley (Northland). and F. F. Matthew (Northland); Parliamentary committee, Messrs W. W. Jugler (Wellington). J R. Campion (Horowhenua). and H. F. Neild (Wellington’: representative on Road Safety Council, Mr A. K. Greves; representative on New Zealand Council for Christian Education, Mr V. W. Wilson.
