New Club Has ; Old House (Special Crspdt. NJZ.P.A.) LONDON, March 8. The new golf club at Chepstow, Monmouthshire, has a very old mansion for its clubhouse. It dates back to Norman times, and in the 15th century the crown jewels were kept there for some 20 years in a small tower which still overlooks the entrance to its inner courtyard. The mansion was then occupied by the Saint Pierre family and for 500 years thereafter by the Lewis family. In addition to golf there will also be tennis courts and a swimming pool.
