Soccer BRAZIL TEAM FOR N.Z.
Four-Match Tour ( NZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 7. A four-match tour of New Zealand in May-June this year by a soccer team from Brazil, the Olaria Atletico Clubc, of Rio de Janeiro, was announced today by the chairman of the New Zealand Football Association (Mr J. Kershaw), The four games, on May 26. May 30. June 2 and June 4. would probably be played in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. “It is definitely a team of world class.” said Mr Kershaw. "It will be interesting to compare it with the English team that was here last season.”
The club is on a world tour and they have recently beaten West Ham United and Chelsea —English First Division teams. It has also had successes in Germany, Spain and Turkey.
