Take-Over Of Laddaloc (N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 6. Berlei Industries, LtdAuckland, has acquired the business of Laddaloc Lingerie, Ltd., Auckland lingerie manufacturer, directors announced today. Consideration is in cash and an undisclosed number of fully-paid shares allotted at a “satisfactory” premium. The business will be operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary to be called LaddalocBerlei, Ltd. It will be carried on as previously, but following overseas trends greater >- ordination in fashion will be achieved. Laddaloc has been trading in lingerie and associated merchandise as a privatelyowned company for more than 20 years and is a leading company In this field. It has two factories in Auckland. Mayne Nlekless.—Mayne Nickless, Ltd. carriers, customs and storage agents, will pay an Increased Interim dividend of 9d a share on the Issued ordinary shares of 10s each other than those recently acquired by option holders. Interim dividend is increased by Id because of the agreement that option holders shall receive half the full dividend for the year to June 30 next Dividend is payable April 30. Last vear’s full payout totalled Is fid a share, interim Bd final IOd.—N.Z.P.A. Toppa Dividend Up.—Toppa Holdings Ltd., ice-cream manufacturer. has increased its interim dividend from 4 per cent, to 4} per cent, suggesting a 9 per cent payout for the current year to June next Last year the company paid 8 per cent on higher capital, and in the previous year 7 per cent. Directors say in today's interim report that during the six months to December 31 there was an increase in turnover.
