On The Waterfront
< N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Mar. 7. The national 50,000 metres championship walk at Auckland on Saturday has been switched from a suburban course to the waterfront because some boroughs did not want walkers disrupting their traffic lights. The original course had 16 sets of lights, but the new route, which will also be used for the 20,000 metres walk tomorrow, has no traffic lights and no hills, and there will be little interference to the athletes from traffic.
