SHE SWALLOWED A FORK.—Miss A. L. Peterson, aged 21, of Fort Worth, Texas, in Fort Worth Hospital, awaiting surgery for the removal of an ordinary dinner fork (shown in X-ray at right) which she accidentally swallowed. Miss Peterson said she was talking to a friend about tonsils and was holding her tongue down With the fork handle when, “I got to laughing and the fork just went down." The incident happened in a coffee shop.
