Golf Small Ball Preferred
(N.ZJ? 4 -Rputpr —C'ncurtpht) LONDON, March 7. England, biggest and most powerful of the four British golf unions, has voted in favour of keeping the smaller ball which is in use outside America. The vote was taken in response to a request by the ruling body, the Royal and Ancient Club of St. Andrews, in the interests of world uniformity. It had asked the four British unions to experiment with the larger American ball (1.680 in minimum diameter compared with 1.620 in). The weight is the same.
