The Minister of Customs and Associate Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Shelton) will address the biennial meeting of the Plashes Institute of New Zealand to be held at Hanmer on May 5-7. Dr.. H. T. Jennings has been appointed medical superintendent of the St. Helens Hospital Christchurch, in accession to Dr. L. C. L Averill, who will retire from the post at the end of the month to devote full time to his practice. The appointment was announced yesterday by the Minister of Health (Mr McKay). Dr. Jennings has been the assistant obstetrician to Dr. Averill a’ St Helens since 1933. His new appointment is parttime, and he will remain tn private practice.
Mr Eric Johan Stoyer Kjaer has been appointed Honorary Danish Vice-consul at Auckland— (PA.)
