Sager Improves By 4sec ( N.Z. Prg&f 4«9Ocuxtton) .NEW PLYMOUTH. Mar. 4 K. Sager (Auckland), the holder, broke the course record by four seconds and set up the fastest time in winning the North Island championship gold star hill climb at Kaipikari road. Urenui, on Saturday. Sager, in ■ 1097 c.c. Cooper, covered the 7/10th of a mile course in 51.73 seconds a record which no other competitor came within I'x seconds of breaking In the racing car section, up to 1500 c.c.. L. B. Stonnell (New Plymouth) crashed his Lynx towards the end of the course and was unable to take part in the remaining heats. Results were’ — Racing Cars Up to 1500 e.c.: K Sager (Auckland).
