J. C. Streeter Wins Simes (iip With top-class performances in the annual Simes Cup corn petition. conducted by the Christchurch Gun Club at Yaldhurst on Saturday, two former national trap-shooting titleholders. J C- Streeter (Amberley) and B. G. Begg (Christchurch). showed that they will again be strong contenders for national honours this year. Under difficult conditions Streeter broke 19 out of 20 targets with the first barrel and won the Simes Cup after shooting off against R E. MrTlwrtck. who was the only other competitor in a field nf 33 to register the same score Begg broke 10 pairs in double rise without a miss and a reneat performance at the New Zealand championships, to be held at Timaru early next month, could again give him the double rise which he held in 1955 and 1956. The Geraldine shooter.
